Década, Volumes I and II, fully capture the essence of El Apartamento gallery’s tenth anniversary celebration. This milestone is marked by two group exhibitions featuring works by artists represented at both its original location in Havana and its Madrid branch. The series began in Havana with Volume I and continued in Madrid with Volume II.
The Madrid headquarters of El Apartamento presents Lo que es igual, no es ventaja Vol.2 (What is equal is not an advantage) in its project room, a group exhibition by REGULARNORMAL, a project led by Danny Báez. As the exhibition’s curator, Báez seeks to connect the perspectives of eight artists living and working in New York, delving into human relationships in a globalized world.
Cuban-born artist Ariamna Contino presents the exhibition Manigua at El Apartamento, in Spain to revisit the concept of “manigua”, a term historically used to refer to a tropical forest ecosystem.
